Memories of mountain days, plus some other outdoor adventures, all involving a bit of effort, sweat and a wee bit of risk. Probably not a lot of the latter. I might even insert the occasional photograph and who knows what else.

red squirrel
I was quietly doing a bit of bird watching in a forest near Loch Ken, Castle Douglas, trying, unsuccessfully, to photograph a lesser spotted woodpecker when I became aware of a red squirrel doing a bit of people watching.
